Summary

Backflow preventers are a must for keeping irrigation systems safe and code-compliant. On this project, we worked with a customer whose irrigation company provided the backflow device but needed a licensed pro to install and connect it properly to their home's water supply. Getting this right helps prevent contamination risks and keeps everything up to local standards.

The Work

Installed customer-supplied backflow preventer on exterior wall
Modified and re-piped water lines to fit the device securely
Supplied all necessary fittings and connection materials
Pulled city permit, coordinated with water department, and verified operation
Restored water, pressurized system, and checked for leaks
Cleaned up the work area before leaving

The Outcome

The property now has a properly installed backflow preventer that meets city requirements and protects the water supply. Water service was restored without issues, and the setup is ready for any city inspection.
